BEST WINGS IN POINT LOMA

Hand-tossed, fried crispy, sauced to order — since 2011.

5★ Google rating Daily · 11am – Late 1125 Rosecrans St, Point Loma

Ask any Point Loma local where to get wings and the answer is Harbor Town Pub. We've been doing wings the same way since 2011 on Rosecrans Street — fresh, never frozen, tossed to order in house-made sauces, and served alongside 16 cold drafts and every Padres game on TV. No chain ever beat a real neighborhood pub at wings, and we're the closest one to Shelter Island, Liberty Station, and Fisherman's Landing.

Why locals call ours the best wings in Point Loma

  • Fried crispy, sauced to order — not pre-tossed, never soggy.
  • House sauces — buffalo, garlic parm, honey hot, BBQ, and a rotating heat special.
  • Real bone-in wings — not boneless nuggets.
  • Pairs with 16 drafts — see the drink menu for the current pours.
  • Happy hour pricing — Mon–Fri 3–6pm. Full details on happy hour in Point Loma.

Better than chain wings — and closer than you think

The nearest Buffalo Wild Wings is fifteen-plus minutes from Point Loma in Mission Valley or Chula Vista. Harbor Town is right here on Rosecrans, locally owned, with a real kitchen and a real bar. See our local vs chains comparison for the full breakdown — short version: 5 stars on Google, sound on for the game, dog-friendly patio, and you'll see the same bartender twice.

What to order with wings

Most regulars build a table around wings + a burger to share + a pitcher. On NFL Sundays and Padres home games we add Power Hour pricing — details on the sports bar in Point Loma page. Bring a group of 10+? Check book a party for the back room.

How we cook the wings (the actual process)

Every order is dredged dry, dropped into clean oil, and pulled when the skin shatters under a tap. Then they hit a stainless bowl, get a ladle of whichever house sauce you ordered, and a hard toss until the sauce is on the wing instead of pooled at the bottom. That's why they show up glossy instead of soggy. Bone-in only for the classic basket — the boneless basket is hand-breaded thigh meat, not a frozen nugget. Celery, carrots, and ranch or blue cheese come standard, and we'll sub extra dressing for free if you ask. Heat builds across the basket; if you want a true mouth-burn, ask for the rotating heat special and tell the bartender you mean it.

Sauce guide for first-timers

  • Buffalo — the default. Real vinegar + cayenne + butter. Medium heat, classic finish.
  • Garlic parmesan — toasted garlic, hard parm, a glossy coat. Mild, the most-ordered with a burger to share.
  • Honey hot — buffalo with local honey behind it. The crowd-pleaser order.
  • BBQ — house BBQ, smoke-forward, not sweet.
  • Rotating heat special — changes by season. Past entries: ghost-pepper mango, Calabrian chile, habanero-lime. Ask what's up.

For pairings, see the drink menu — the honey hot and a West Coast IPA is the local move.

Wings for groups, watch parties, and to-go

Wings travel well, so groups of 10+ order them by the 50-count for watch parties and private parties. Call ahead for pickup on NFL Sundays and Padres home games — the kitchen builds a queue and we can have a 100-piece order boxed and labeled by sauce when you walk in. For dine-in, the back room holds a comfortable wing-and-pitcher crew of 12 around the arcade.
