Point Loma is a fishing neighborhood — boats in the harbor, tuna and yellowtail at the docks, seafood on every block. Harbor Town Pub isn't a white-tablecloth fish house. We're the casual version: ahi poke you can eat at the bar, beer-battered fish tacos with a cold draft, and a fish and chips plate that holds up next to anything on the peninsula. ABOUT THE POKE
Our ahi is cut fresh and tossed to order. The Ahi Poke Tostada is the most-ordered appetizer in the building — wonton chips, wasabi cream, avocado, cucumber, carrots. The Ahi Poke Tacos are a daily-limited special: five small tacos in crispy shells with wasabi cream, pickled carrots, and black sesame. If you want a bowl, order the Seared Ahi bowl — rice, cabbage, edamame, grilled pineapple, tahini chipotle.
FISH TACOS, TWO WAYS
Beer-battered cod with shredded cabbage, pickled carrots, capers, horseradish cream, sriracha, on a flour tortilla. Or ask what the Catch of the Day is — a rotating local fish, market price, while supplies last. Served with rice and smashed black beans.
